The University’s foundation can be traced at the beginning part of the 20th century with the basis of the previous Bournemouth Municipal College and located in  Bournemouth, Dorset (England).

The modern record started at the beginning of 1970s with the development of the Bournemouth College of Technology. Development of the new structures on the thing that was the biggest farm in Talbot Village, and is right now BU’s Talbot Campus, was finished by September 1976.
